Companies that dig into research on wellness programs will find about 50 studies that show they are effective but others that do not, said Wellco president Scott Foster. He said well-run programs should at least break even but a company’s decisions about adopting a program should be based on its definition of wellness and a belief that a healthy workforce brings value to the organization.
